
Salem, OR — Garten Services is pleased to announce the appointment of David Perry as the organization’s new Director of Custodial and Grounds.
In this role, Perry will lead Garten’s custodial and grounds divisions, supporting high-quality service delivery while furthering the organization’s mission of advancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities throughout the Willamette Valley.
Perry brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in commercial custodial services, environmental services, and facilities operations. He has successfully led large teams, strengthened customer relationships, improved operational efficiency, and implemented systems that support long-term growth.
Most recently, Perry served as Director of Environmental Services for El Castillo, a continuing care retirement community in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There, he oversaw custodial, housekeeping, laundry, biohazard waste management, pest control, facility support services, and vendor-managed programs while leading a team of 25 employees. Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years managing large-scale custodial operations in highly regulated manufacturing environments.
His expertise includes multi-site operations management, workforce development, financial oversight, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning. Known for his collaborative leadership style, Perry has built a career centered on accountability, safety, employee development, and exceptional customer service. His commitment to operational excellence and workforce development aligns closely with Garten’s values and vision for the future.
