Garten has been providing services to people with developmental disabilities and long-term mental illness in the Willamette Valley since 1970.

We focus on the abilities and unique competencies of each person with disabilities whom we are privileged to serve, rather than merely their limitations. 

We realize that individuals are the best judges of the quality of their own lives, so we engage in an ongoing dialogue that incorporates their experiences, opinions and desires into the services we provide them.

We provide the supports necessary to help each person with a disability succeed in connecting and contributing to the community.

We offer varied opportunities for people to create meaningful connections, from a variety of community focused day activities that offer unstructured time, community outings and volunteer projects.

We know that when people with disabilities are given the opportunity to engage in meaningful work, the overall quality of their lives is enhanced.
