Garten’s New Youth Employment Services (YES!)
The Garten Gala proceeds support our Youth Employment Services (YES!). With your contribution, youth with disabilities will have year round training, development and career support equipping them with valuable skills and the confidence
to be independent.
Covering the cost of certification needed (ie. food handlers card for restaurant-related jobs.)
Providing technical skills training in areas like computer literacy, trade skills, or industry-specific knowledge.
Teaching essential interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Offering workshops and one-on-one assistance to help youth create professional resumes.
Conducting practice interviews to prepare youth for real job interviews and provide constructive feedback.
Providing personalized coaching to youth who need additional support in their internship or job site.
Offering transportation assistance to ensure youth can attend their training site reliably.
Establishing host site businesses and organizations to create internship opportunities for youth.
Identifying and developing job opportunities tailored to the skills and interests of the youth.
