Volunteer with Us!

No matter your interest, ability, age, or the time you have to give, you can make a meaningful impact for people with disabilities in Salem. Volunteers bring a powerhouse of skills, time, talent, and energy, supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities in our community. Volunteering at Garten isn’t just giving back; it’s helping make our community a place where people of all abilities can thrive.

Group Service

Our social purpose businesses offer a
variety of opportunities to help Garten further
its mission.

Your business, faith organization, club or school group can help by sorting and organizing storage areas, tending to our garden, helping youth program participants with resume building, or hosting a donation drive for Garten.

Program Assistants & Internships

Enjoy the opportunity to build meaningful
relationships with our Community Employment and Daybreak program participants, helping provide companionship
on outings or assisting with job skills training.

Garten offers internship opportunities  including working directly with participants in person- centered programs or within our
administrative departments.

Events & Outreach

Garten Services hosts three major fundraising
events throughout the year. Help greet guests,
assist with event set up and tear down, or write thank you notes to our event participants!

Serve as a Community Ambassador and raise awareness about Garten’s mission at
community events.
