General Summary:
Coordinates training and day to day activities of assigned Supported Employment Programs to ensure established compliance and program needs are being met. In this role, you will work as a part of a team to develop and maintain systems which ensure the Program(s) is successful for the individuals supported, Garten and our Community Business Partnerships. This role is responsible for coordination of multiple seasonal and year-round offerings as assigned by the Supported Employment Manager. Typical duties will include working in community-based settings building/maintaining partnerships, providing direct support and training employment support professionals assigned to your team. This role will include annual oversight and coordination of Garten’s Summer Youth Employment Program, Project Search as well as the newly expanded Youth Employment Services. Under guidance from Supported Employment Manager/Assistant Manager you will help to build innovative, year-round service offerings geared towards youth (aged 17-21) affected by disability.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between Garten Supported Employment, Community business partnerships and the individual served to ensure communication needs are being met.
- Develop paid/unpaid supported employment opportunities within criteria provided by Supported Employment Management
- Coordinates and conducts intakes for participants
- Develops and implements training to ensure competency requirements are met.
- Provides day-to-day supervision to assigned employment support workers
- Identifies disciplinary issues and reports them to the Supported Employment Manager/ Assistant Manager
- Ensures all required training is provided
- Monitors employment support workers to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of the assigned program.
- Ensures adequate and appropriate documentation for training program is completed.
- Performs case management duties including daily/monthly/annual documentation and team meetings as required
- Completes required forms and all related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Always Represents the Programs and Garten in a professional manner
- Ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of participants are met and maintained on an individual basis in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
Secondary Functions:
- Follows/Implements budget provided by Supported Employment Manager
- Ensures that assigned program billings are accurate and completed within approved timeline
- Participates in the hiring process including interviews and employee selection with support from Supported Employment Management
- Provides input on ways the organization can create employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Attends meetings and participates in teams/committees as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is supervisory to the extent that daily work direction is provided to assigned employment support workers, including recordkeeping and evaluation of whether the participant has met established competencies. Work similar-to subordinates may be performed as a part of training and/or routine duties as assigned by Supported Employment Manager.
Mistakes/errors in judgment or representation of Garten Services could result in personal injury to participants and/or result in customer dissatisfaction and/or negative impact on participants, all of which could have direct negative financial implications and loss of credibility/image of the organization.

- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of current vehicle insurance.
- Mental and physical ability to use a calculator and computer hardware/software (including word processor, spreadsheets, graphics and database programs).
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid and OIS Certification.
- Physical ability to push up to 100 pounds, and to carry up to 10 pounds frequently in a normal workday.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- A minimum of 1 year providing direct supervision to others.
- A 4-year degree in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
