The word “Garten” is German for “garden”, and after more than 35 years we continue to see this to be a fitting analogy for our work.
The world of plants is vast, and so is the variety of customers we serve through Garten’s various business enterprises. Private businesses, medical facilities, nonprofit organizations, local, state and federal government agencies.
Just as a good gardener provides nourishment and regular attention to create a successful garden, Garten’s staff works attentively with our participants and valued customers. At Garten, we are committed to cultivating a greater understanding of people with disabilities throughout our community – and in that process, they can achieve greater independence, their contributions are recognized and valued, their voices are heard, their interests are respected and realized.
Just as gardens are good for the contemplative mind, a walk through any one of Garten’s sites allows the visitor to appreciate the exquisite preciousness of life.
Every day at Garten, we are pleased to see those we serve blossom with self-confidence and grow strong in the sunlight of accomplishment.
We know that what we do at Garten makes the entire community more beautiful.
